daddy's {special} day

 for father's day
the weather couldn't have been better
in honor of daddy {and all the water toys we got the day before}
we decided to have a backyard day of
 fun.in.the.sun.

the neighbor boys came over for the whole day
to celebrate our daddy swim and play in the water.
 seriously, how handsome is this man...
and he's all mine!
 we had such a great day outside.
how could something that looks like this
not be a good time!?!?
 i think i took about 1000 pictures of this one
he was just so adorable with the big boys.
 at one point this is what our kids looked like
while the rest of the neighbor boys continued to play.
{sun/fun overload}
 still chillin in the shade...
we grilled tri-tip and crab on the bbq
and i got our first harvest of lettuce from our garden.
{so exciting}
no better way to end your father's day
than a snuggle with the ones that gave you the title in the first place
happy father's day to all the amazing daddy's out there!

{in}celebration

 we celebrated jack turning 2 with a little swim/rainbow party on saturday.
the weather was less than beautiful,
but that didn't stop the kids from swimming.

jack got a bunch of outdoor summertime water toys
sprinklers
a new pool
slip-n-slide
the works.

here's my decorations, paint samples from home depot.
simple.and.free.
jack loves semi-trucks
so this is what we came up with.
after putting it all together
we decided maybe we should have splurged for a new semi truck.
oh well, he loved it!
 is this not the most adorable balloon of 2 monkeys climbing a tree?
grandma and grandpa allen brought it over for jack.
 jack has no problem being the center of attention.
none.what.so.ever!
 he was a little nervous about blowing out his candles...
 sat perched on the counter the whole time.
i love it when their bodies are that tiny.
 he loved his presents.
books.
a kitchen set.
swim/water stuff.
more books.
perfect!
 trying to tell us he's 2.
 hambone...
 he hugged everyone that came.
was just as sweet as could be.
turned out to be a successful birthday
with family...priceless!

jack's year in review

this is me and my bff, erica.
i think i started slow labor that night
and it lasted another 4 days.
i don't have any belly pictures of my other 2 boys
so this one is really special.
erica and i went through our whole pregancies together
her first.
my third.
our babies are almost 5 weeks apart.
i l.o.v.e. this pic of her holding my baby.
deep breaths as she gets ready for her little guy to come.
i tear up every time i see it!
{thank you bff, for going through the motions with me.
there truly is nothing better than having a friend to join you
on the pregnancy roller coaster
our husbands drove us crazy...we drove them crazy.
all in all, best 9 months!}

he was heaven from the very first moment i held him.
his brothers welcomed him with open arms
and lots of love.

here is our jack henry in 2010
enjoy...

 happy birthday
jackson henry james
you made this family of 5 complete.

breathing

breathing....
but only for a second.
i have closing ceremonies for baseball tonight.
then hopefully i can breath for a while.

so...real quick....
{inhaling}

we enjoyed ours first one of these nights of the season.
it has been cloudy and rainy.
still pretty windy so no fire pit
but it felt so amazing!
 this is hubby's favorite thing to do on a friday night.
he gets home from work.
changes is clothes.
grabs a beer.
and mows the law.
isn't he adorable!
  peanut had a cowboy dress-up day
towards the last day of school.
he is absolutely A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.
when he dresses up like a cowboy.
monkey can't resist a good dress-up day.
he walks around saying,
"yee-haw."
super sweet.
we had our first water fight
with the neighbors and some friends they had over.
it was a blast.
 i got to have a girl over.
she was so much fun.
we painted our toenails all different colors.
watched princess movies
and played candy land.
she is super sweet
{thanks aaron and whit for letting me steal her that night!}
this one is still adorable
and turning 2 on friday.
{holy crap, no more babies}
little bear's last day of kindergarden was awesome
they had a play day.
the weather was wonderful.
and he had such a wonderful time.
we are so proud of him for making it through
this amazing first year in grade school!
first grade...
here.we.come.
 peanut had his last day today.
we walked away from the school and he says,
"well, i'm officially a third grader now.
i'll be going to school
in the other hallway."
{apparently a huge deal}
monkey's birthday is this weekend
can you believe he's going to be 2 years old?
i can't believe how fast time has flown.

okay, that's all i got.
hopefully now that school and baseball is over
i'll have more time, and more interesting events
to post.
but for now.
this will have to do.

welcome to june
and
the first day of summer break!

{p.s. i updated my 365...yeah me!}
